What we do
ISU is the official student union for international students studying in Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové. It started as a combined effort of former students in 2012 and continued over the years with 10s of students putting in hundreds of hours to make other people's lives better in Hradec Králové. Part of what we do is organise events, parties and speak on the behalf of students in the unfortunate event that mistreatment or issues occur.
Education will get strong reform this year with more seminars targeted at credit tests and also we will have our first string classes for clinical students to start getting oriented in this field. Some of our events are:
1 Slide test seminars
2 Spot test seminar
3 Biophysics test seminar
4 ECG tests seminar
Our social events revolve around culture and parties. Cultural events include debating, culture day, culture-specific celebration and generally organising events where students can come together and speak. We are also responsible for organising Speak! events which are events including Czech and foreign students where they can come together and talk. Parties normally have themes, like Halloween, Christmas, Back to School or fancy dress.
Our task with sports is to introduce you to facilities which you can use to exercise, but also to organise weekly sessions in sports which require planning in order to happen. For example we have regular basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, indoor rock climbing, swimming, running and athletics. we also organise the following tournaments throughout the year:
5 Indoor rock climbing
7 Athletics (If you would like to compete in the name of the university or a local club then please contact us and we will connect youth the right people)
