As president, my job entitles leading the executive board to create successful events and societies for our community here in Hradec Králové. I am also a link between the faculty and the student body, ensuring that our views are delivered to the correct branch to ensure that any issues are solved. Attending several meetings with many organisations and partners is a big part of the job to ensure that we get the best deals. I am also the editor of the website, which if you have noticed has been greatly improved since we moved away from the archaic website we had at the start of academic year.
My proficiency in the Czech language helps me with creating local contacts and allow me to get in touch with companies and organisation in an exceptional way.
I ran for president so that I can help students, especially new ones, feel as comfortable as possible in Hradec Králové. I have focused and will continue to on the digitalisation of our student union and with improving the quality of our posters. Also of great importance to me is establishing stronger ties with our fellow Czech students at the faculty and work has been done on this via having parties together and also the revival of Speak!.
Some of my other tasks within ISU involve being the chief organiser of Speak!, a coordinator of Knife2Skin society and the organiser of ISU-LFHK Basketball and ISU-LFHK Volleyball.
Study: Fourth year of General Medicine.
Hobbies: I enjoy sports, especially basketball, badminton and athletics. I love to socialise with people and I especially enjoy speaking in Czech to local friends and people I meet in cafes or on a night out.
Favourite place in Hradec Králové?
My favourite place in Hradec Králové must be TJ Sokol HK, which is a local sports club, that allowed me to compete in athletics and also has given me a family of Czech friends, whom I am very proud to know.
