ISU-LFHK Executive Board 16/17
PRESIDENT

Hello!
My name is Ioannis Patras and I am a medical student on my final year.
I have been an active member of ISU since the beginning of the organization and I feel like it's time to give back to the community!
Among other things, I enjoy playing chess and taking long walks along the river.
My main aim this year is to get as many students involved with ISU activities as possible, since I want everyone who is new in HK to have as much fun as I did during their time studying at our University.

Hi, I’m Karoline Lind Mjanger, a 4th year medical student from Norway.
The reason I wanted to join ISU was to be involved in making HK a more fun place for international students. As the Secretary of ISU I will keep the records of what’s going on during our executive board meetings, and also make sure that our ISU members are informed about this.

Hello there!
We're both GM students, 4th and 5th year respectively.
We have been heavily involved all year in helping organise ISU events.
We wanted to join the board because we think that 'social' is a really important part of living and settling in HK, and ISU is a great vehicle to do so! It helped us to feel more integrated when we first came so we'd love to impart that, and help further improve the already great job done by previous ISU board members.

Hello! We're 4th year GM students from Germany.
We have previously organized volleyball as student councils and want to continue to provide good sport events to people.
Our aim this year is to expand the offer on sports (running, golf, frisbee, etc) and organize more events in order to attract more people. We want to provide sports not just for the purpose of competition but also to make it possible for people to come together and find a good balance between studying and recreation.

I am Nita, a 5th year medical student. I come from two different cultures as I was born in Thailand and grew up there for 13 years before I moved to Norway. Therefore, I know how nice it is to meet and getting to know new people from different cultures, and maybe it will make it all easier for you to settle here.
I would like to unite us with the Czech students so that we will be able to greet in the hallways, meet up in spare time and share interests. Also, we might need some fresh air and get away for a little while, so trips will be arranged and you can join us and explore.
All in all, ISU would love to make HK a place like home for you. It was amazing to witness how helpful ISU has been for all of us. Without them, many of us would not have known each other and there would have been empty days without events or activities to take our minds off.
Now I too want to be a part in giving you another year with great experience. We hope that you will enjoy your spare time along with your studies
